2022 Scholarship Recipient Follow-up!

Scholarship recipient photo

We are very pleased and proud to share this follow-up story from another of our past Scholarship recipients – Sarah Goslin, BN.

“In 2006, my family’s lives were changed when my grandmother suffered from a ruptured brain aneurysm. I was just five years old, with my entire life ahead of me. Miraculously, my nana fought hard and began her long road to recovery. We feel honored to be a part of this community to spread awareness and support others going through similar struggles. I’m forever grateful for the doctors at Mass General who gave me a life with my nana.

In 2022, I was awarded the Maine Brain Aneurysm Awareness Scholarship in honor of Cheyenne Audet. I was honored to have met her beautiful family and connect with them at the walk. This May, I graduated from Saint Joseph’s College with my Bachelor’s in Nursing. I will be starting my career as an RN on the Neuro/Trauma unit at MMC. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to heal others during their most vulnerable and difficult times.”

The Maine Brain Aneurysm Awareness Committee will award four scholarships in 2024 that seek to support students who have been impacted by brain aneurysm or brain tumor, engage in public outreach and awareness of brain aneurysms and/or work with that population through their area of study.
