This joint meeting between our Support Group members and the Maine Brain Aneurysm Awareness Committee will give both groups an opportunity to meet, get to know each other, toast a successful year and look ahead to 2026. A full spread of hors d’Oeuvres will be provided. Spouses & Partners most welcome to join us.

THE 18th ANNUAL

KAT-Walk & Karo-5k

Lace up your walking and running shoes and join us for the 18th annual KAT-Walk & 12th Annual Karo-5K for Brain Aneurysm Awareness. The route will be along the beautiful Payson Park in Portland, Maine. This will be a special day to remember and honor loved ones lost to or having survived a brain aneurysm.

9:30 to 10:30 AM: Registration and activities including family gatherings, brain aneurysm awareness information, a 50/50 raffle, and face painting. Bring a picnic and enjoy the cove. This is a great opportunity to meet and support other families affected by brain aneurysms.

10:20 AM: Opening and presentation of scholarship and research awards.

11:00 PM: Karo-5K race kick-off followed by the KAT-Walk.

12:15 PM: Runners awards and closing ceremonies.

Our premier awareness event is held annually in September along the beautiful Back Cove area of Portland, Maine.

Spreading awareness through our feet! This fun fundraiser is always a good time with great people and some creative costumes.

Our dine for awareness events have raised money for our other outreach events and you get a great meal to boot!
