The Maine Brain Aneurysm Awareness Committee (MBAAC) is thrilled to partner with the Portland Sea Dogs for a year-long community engagement at Hadlock Field. Our 8 x 16’ billboard banner presents us with a unique opportunity to reach a substantial audience as they enjoy the game and see our banner prominently displayed in the outfield.

It is estimated that approximately 1 in 50 individuals in the United States will develop a brain aneurysm during their lifetime. Tragically, over 40,000 people in the U.S. will suffer a ruptured brain aneurysm annually, with nearly half of the victims succumbing to the condition. Of those who survive, only a third will recover without permanent disabilities.

The above math would indicate that more than 120 fans at each game are either currently experiencing or will develop a brain aneurysm. While the likelihood of rupture is relatively low, being aware of the signs, symptoms, and treatments could potentially save the life of someone watching the game. AWARENESS SAVES LIVES!
