Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Holiday Social of the Maine Brain Aneurysm Support Group & Awareness Committee last Thursday evening. After exchanging greetings, we enjoyed some festive bites and libations provided by the team at the Stockhouse Restaurant & Sports Pub, accompanied by holiday carols playing in the background.

Our Chairman/President, Dave McCausland, took the stage to deliver a speech and toast the achievements we accomplished this past year. He also outlined our goals for the upcoming year, 2026.

We were fortunate to be presented with a heartfelt story by a brain aneurysm survivor, who shared her experience of receiving support from our group during her recent diagnosis and recovery after treatment. These stories serve as a powerful reminder of the impact our work has on individuals affected by brain aneurysms in the state.

In addition to Dave’s speech, we had the privilege of hearing from Casey Rogers, our dedicated support group facilitator, and Peter Geiger, a long-time survivor who regaled us with his extraordinary tale of survival in an era when treatment and support options were scarce.

This annual holiday gathering is always a wonderful blend of old and new friends. It was an ideal opportunity for us to toast the accomplishments of the past year and eagerly anticipate the goals we have set for 2026.
