It was a fun day at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine, last Sunday, when Maine Brain Aneurysm Awareness cheered on the Portland Sea Dogs. The exciting game gave our group a chance to relax with family and friends before our 18th annual KAT-Walk & Karo-5k for Brain Aneurysm Awareness in Portland, coming up in September.
Before the game, we paraded around the field on the warning track, took photos with their very entertaining mascot Slugger, and displayed brain aneurysm information in the concourse for the public throughout the game.
We’re thrilled to partner with the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs for a year-long community engagement at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine. With 69 regular-season home games, playoff games, high school games, and more, our 8 x 16’ billboard in the ballpark offers a unique chance to reach a large audience as they enjoy the game and see our banner prominently displayed in the outfield.
The Maine Brain Aneurysm Awareness Committee’s goal is to educate the public about brain aneurysms, their symptoms, and treatment options. We aim to make a difference by empowering individuals and families to seek medical attention when necessary and providing support for those affected by this condition. Tragically, over 40,000 people in the U.S. will suffer a ruptured brain aneurysm annually, with nearly half of the victims succumbing to the condition. Our 18th annual KAT-Walk and Karo-5k will be held on September 20, 2026, at Payson Park in Portland, Maine. The route will be along the beautiful ocean-side Back Cove Boulevard.
