Sensory Overstimulation or ‘Flooding’

We often hear Brain Aneurysm & Brain Injury survivors talk about having on-going problems with sensory overstimulation or ‘Flooding’. It occurs after brain injury because the brain’s ‘filters’ no longer work as they once did. It is an exhaustive situation if more pieces of information or stimuli are received than the brain can handle.
