NeuroResource Facilitation is a Maine-based service that helps individuals who have sustained an acquired brain injury and their families find, get, and keep information, resources, services and supports to achieve their goals. BIAA-ME provides the program with funding from the Maine Office of Aging and Disability Services. There is no charge to individuals or families to participate.

Program participants (individuals with brain injury and families or supporters) work with a local facilitator in a multi-step process that may include:
- Assessment – identify the current status, personal needs, and available resources of the individual and his/her family or support system in all aspects of life.
- Planning – Document the individual’s goals, help needed to attain the goals, and the responsibilities of the individual, family, and facilitator.
- Resource Identification – Work collaboratively to locate resources, services, and supports.
- Navigation – Locate potential service providers, help individuals make contact, complete applications, and provide other assistance as needed.
- Monitoring & Adjustment – Actively assess the quality and appropriateness of services and supports recommended, process & methods used to attain them, and make adjustments when necessary.
- Outreach & Education – Connect individuals to support groups or other community-based organizations, teach self-advocacy skills, and keep individuals and families informed of new opportunities.
