In memory of Arthur Piteau, our co-founder and Vice President who passed away in June, this year’s HONOR TEAM at the KAT-Walk & Karo-5k will be the “Artful Dodgers”. Read more about Art.
From 1978 to 2007, Art coached women’s softball, founding and leading the “Artful Dodgers” to numerous regional and state championships, as well as national tournaments, never experiencing a losing season.
Kimberly Tudor, who was a long-time player on Art’s teams, died of a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2008. Art played a vital role in our mission to honor Kim’s memory, leading to the creation of the KAT-Walk for Brain Aneurysm Awareness in 2009 and our organization.
Up until Art faced difficult health issues, he passionately promoted raising awareness about brain aneurysms, served as our Vice-President, and event emcee. He stood behind our efforts from the beginning, offering unwavering support. We will always be grateful to him and we miss him dearly.
There will be a tent setup for the team at the event where team members can gather, sit, and share memories of our dear friend Artie.
