Through the generous support of the Brain Aneurysm community over the past 17 years, we established a new $25,000 neuroscience scholarship endowment fund at Maine Medical Center. This fund aims to provide annual scholarships to neuroscience care team members pursuing advanced certifications in the field. We are pleased to announce the three Endowment Scholars for 2025:
- Hannah LeClair received her BSN at the Univ. of Me and has been a nurse on R6, the neuro/trauma unit. After obtaining her CNRN certification funded by this scholarship, she will be moving to the neuro ICU at Maine Med.
- Caroline Spencer graduated summa cum laude at the University of Maine in 2023 and started working on R6 at MMC. She recently passed her CNRN exam funded by this scholarship to further progress in neuro-based care.
- We first met Sarah Goslin in 2022 as a 4th-year nursing student at Saint Joseph’s College when she was awarded our $2,000 Scholarship in memory of Cheyanne Audet. We are delighted to see Sarah meeting her goal of securing a career in Neuro Critical Care and passing her CNRN exam funded by this scholarship.
These awards were presented at the 17th annual KAT-Walk & Karo-5k for Brain Aneurysm Awareness on September 21, 2025.
